Deferment Policy and Procedures |

DEFERMENT POLICY
- A student who wishes to defer his/her course must do so in writing by filling up an application for Deferment and submitting the completed form to the Student Services Department.
- The College will acknowledge receipt of defer application within 3 working days and notify student of the decision within 7 working days from the date as stated in the signed student contract.
- Requests for deferment must be made at least 14 working days before the commencement of the registered course commencement date as stated in the signed student contract.
- Deferment applications after the course commencement date will not be considered.
- Deferment of a course is allowed only once up to the next available commencement date of the course. Deferment of a course is allowed once up to a maximum period of one (1) year. Students who are unable to resume class within the one (1) year period will be deemed as having withdrawn from the course.
Deferment is not applicable to International Students.
Approval for deferment is at the sole discretion of OSAC International College.
DEFERMENT PROCEDURES

* Record has to be kept for 5 years * For students below the age of 18, parent/guardian has to sign on application form
Review: This policy shall be reviewed annually in compliance with education industry guidelines and standards including those set out by the Council for Private Education.
Procedure: Student Services Department is responsible for procedure development.
Responsibility: The responsibility for implementation and interpretation of the above listed policies rest with the Student Services Department.
